The journey home

Well today we had an eight hour ride home on a sleeper bus. Our bus was supposed to leave at 11:00 am and we were running late and had no idea where we were going. We finally made it to the bus station and the bus was an hour late.
This is us waiting

While we were waiting there was a lady trying to get her kid to go to the bathroom in a garbage can. So I did what most people do, took a selfie.
We got home at like 8:00 pm and we start teaching again tomorrow!

Moon festival

Today was the last day of our vacation. It's also when all the Chinese people celebrate the moon.
We went on a really long hike! It was like five hours long in 95 degree weather with 90% humidity. I sweat so much that I didn't go to the bathroom once and I drank like eight water bottles.
This is before the hike started.
Construction work in china
Just the beginning
On the ferry to get across the river
After five hours of hiking and 500 stairs, we made it!
Me and our awesome tour guide, peter
My china family

After our hike we went and got some real food... Mcdonalds!!
Then we went and got fish pedicures!
The fish litterly bite your feet. It tickles!

Me, Kate, and the hostel owners dog
Since it is the moon festival, my china family decided to moon the moon :)
Happy moon festival!!!!

White water rafting

Today we went white water rafting. It was soooo fun and we made some cool Chinese friends.
After rafting:

We went to dinner and these were so good. Also, I think they are off of kongfu panda.
They didn't give us plates to eat off... So here is the result. Getting messy.

The best day of my life

Today was literally the best day of my life. We went to mccdonalds and ate some good food and then we rented bikes!
This is our tour guide peter, such a great guy!
Just a few pictures from our beautiful bike ride
We then went for a two hour bamboo float down the river. It was so beautiful and relaxing! We also got to jump in and stand up while we went down waterfalls.

Here is the man who rowed our boat. Oh and our friend the praying mantis.
Moon hill!!!
So beautiful!!!!
We then went to the mud caves! They were so fun and we could float so easily!

Let the vacation begin

Today at 9 am we went to the canteen (kitchen) and helped make moon cakes. We weren't really much help, but it was fun! We even got cool outfits.
Our cook poses
Today is the beginning of our vacation!! We are so excited. Me and Britta went to the store to get some snacks for the drive. We had our backpacks on so the people at the front of the store made us put them in a bag and lock it to make sure we didn't steel anything.

We have an 8 hour drive to get there and we are going at night so we got a sleeper bus. It's a bus that has beds in it. At first we were really excited! We said "These are so cool!" "I can lay or sit!" "There is so much room!"
Me and Emily:
But then... The bus kept stopping and picking people up. Pretty soon there were no more beds and we were still picking people up. The bus driver layed pads in the walk way for all the people. We were surrounded by people.
This is how Miranda feels about it
And Emily over there, just minding her own business
So many people everywhere! Yes, there is a man laying in between us. I gave him my pillow.
Amanda was squished by a guy and it was uncomfortable for both of them so I switched him spots so I was in the middle of the isle the whole ride.
